BONNEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL AWARDS
As seniors graduate, there are always regrets and questions concerning awards they could have or should have received. The following is a list of available awards and the requirements:
ATHLETIC LETTERS – Each sport has specific requirements. They are usually based on playing time, a positive attitude, and contributions to the team. Students will need to check with individual coaches for specifics. A grade point of at least 2.0 is required with no more than .75 attendance credit loss.
ACADEMIC LETTERS – Business, English, Mathematics, Music, Science, and Social Science
Requires having earned a Blue B plus specific department requirements. Applications are available online or from department heads. Can receive end of junior or senior year. There is also a music letter. (Please see Mrs. Kirby)
BLUE B 6 terms of a 3.8; grades 10 – 12 (no rounding). Available spring of junior year.
2nd BLUE B 11 terms of a 3.8; grades 10 – 12. Given last assembly in May of senior year.
Application available online or in Room 413. Please return to Room 413.
WHITE B School service award. Requires signatures and a total of 20 points.Application available online or in Room 413. Please return to Room 413. Usually takes until end of junior or first of senior year to earn enough points.
GOLD B First place in a region or area competition. Names submitted by teachers, advisors, and coaches. There is a special application for music.
ANCHOR B First place in a state competition; not given to entire teams. (A different certificate is used for that.) Names submitted by teachers, advisors, and coaches. Again, a special application is required for music.
